Abstract
Rice sheath blight and banana yellow sigatoka caused by Rhizoctonia solani and Mycosphaerella musicola, respectively, are important diseases. Studies showed that 2 sprays of hexaconazole at 28.8 to 57.6 g a.i./ha at 55 and 70 days after sowing gave effective control of rice sheath blight. Foliar sprays of hexaconazole at 100 g a.i./ha were effective for the control of banana yellow sigatoka.
