The plantation industry has seen vastly changed parameters of how we do our business. The major factors that contribute to the succes of the industry are becoming obstacles towards its continued sustained growth. The national average oil yield does not seem to be in accordance with advances made in plant breeding. Cost of production is on the rise. In order to remain succesfull, a new set of considerations need to be addresed for the industry to be competitive.
