| dc.description | Since 2018, the Cenipalma’s Research Directorate has led a strategic process to align research and technological development with productive practice, consolidating the organization as a benchmark in scientific and technological solutions with real and measurable impact for the Colombian oil palm sector. Among the most significant achievements is the structuring of the Research and Development (R& D) macroprocess, which optimized institutional management through participatory mechanisms, efficient resource allocation, and the definition of scope and performance indicators. Likewise, an R&D and Extension Agenda was agreed upon, aligned with the sector’s short-, medium-, and long-term priorities, and project, data and information management were strengthened through a comprehensive system that ensures quality, relevance, and feasibility. The formulation and execution of megaprojects co-financed by the Oil Palm Development Fund between 2022 and 2025 were led by the Research Directorate, significantly contributing to technological advances in cultivation and fruit processing. The classification system for researchers and extensionist was updated with more rigorous criteria, and recognition of researchers and groups was achieved by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MinCiencias), validating the institution’s scientific excellence. Additionally, the Laboratory Unit was modernized following the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) and other efficiency principles, and human talent capacities were strengthened through scientific events, technological monitoring, and continuous training processes. | en-US |
| dc.description | Desde 2018, la Dirección de Investigación de Cenipalma ha liderado un proceso estratégico para articular la investigación y el desarrollo tecnológico con la práctica productiva, de manera que ha consolidado a la organización como un referente en soluciones científicas y tecnológicas con impacto real y medible para el sector palmero colombiano. Entre los logros más relevantes se encuentra la estructuración del macroproceso de investigación y desarrollo (I+D), que optimizó la gestión institucional mediante instancias de participación, asignación eficiente de recursos, definición de alcances e indicadores de desempeño. Asimismo, se concertó la Agenda de I+D y Extensión alineada con las prioridades del sector a corto, mediano y largo plazo, y se fortaleció la gestión de proyectos, datos e información a través de un sistema integral que asegura calidad, pertinencia y factibilidad. Se lideró la formulación y la ejecución de megaproyectos cofinanciados por el Fondo de Fomento Palmero entre 2022 y 2025, lo cual contribuyó significativamente al avance tecnológico del cultivo y el procesamiento de fruta. Se actualizó el sistema de clasificación de investigadores y extensionistas con criterios más rigurosos, y se logró el reconocimiento de investigadores y grupos por parte de Minciencias, una validación de la excelencia científica institucional. Además, se modernizó la Unidad de Laboratorios con el Sistema Globalmente Armonizado de Clasificación y Etiquetado de Productos Químicos y otros principios de eficiencia, y se fortalecieron las capacidades del capital humano mediante eventos científicos, vigilancia tecnológica y procesos de capacitación continuos. | es-ES |
