| dc.description | The palm oil crop is under attack in a very aggressive manner by Bud Rot in certain areas of Colombia. The Corporation Center for Research on Palm Oil (Cenipalma) recently discovered the causal agent of the infection and has continued to investigate the issue. In this presentation we show the results of these studies and offer a guide for the early identification of PC, precisely because our experience has shown that if this is done when there are a lower number of cases the implementation of good management practices will be successful. | en-US |
| dc.description | El cultivo de la palma de aceite está siendo atacado de manera muy agresiva en ciertas zonas de Colombia por la Pudrición del Cogollo (PC). La Corporación Centro de Investigación en Palma de Aceite (Cenipalma) descubrió recientemente el agente causal de la enfermedad y ha seguido investigando el tema. En esta presentación se revelan los resultados obtenidos de esos estudios, y se ofrecen guías para lograr la identificación temprana de la PC, justamente porque la experiencia ha demostrado que si ello ocurre cuando se presenta el menor número de casos, la aplicación de buenas prácticas de manejo será exitosa. | es-ES |
