A statistical analysis of databases covering scientific and technical literature and patents relating to potential uses for proteins in different fields including nutrition is presented. The survey was carried out by CETIOM in 1996 with a view to finding alternatives for oilseed producers following the introduction of restrictions on the use of oilseeds for animal feeds.
