Abstract
The most limiting disease in the eastern plains of Colombia is bud rot (BR) which affects it compromising the yield in tons of fresh fruit bunches. Using the scale of recuperation established for this pathological complex in the zone of Bajo Upía, bunch analyses were performed in six different treatments. The findings show statistical differences for the majority of its components including the oil extraction rate and the percentage of free fatty acids. These show the negative effect of the disease in the weight of the bunch and in the quantity of oil and its quality deterioration.
