Abstract
This article is presented as an application of the alternative methodology for bunch analysis, the analysis of carried out in the hoppers of the palm oil mills. The technique is based on a method of selection of bunches in the hopper through a chord that allows to extract the minimum number of bunches (28) with representativeness and significance. After a qualitative evaluation, a sub-sample (6 bunches) is selected to start the proper analysis with a small sample equivalent to a single bunch. Likewise, comparative results are presented of the data of bunch composition, obtained by the implementation of this methodology in the Colombian palm zones.
