Abstract
Occupational health tries to promote and maintain the following: the maximum physical, mental, and social well-being of all the workers in all occupations; prevention among workers against work related risks; consequences of adverse health factors; and, the adaptation of the psychological and physiological conditions in the job. Additionally, among the economical indexes that rule the agricultural industry sector, African Palm plantations and its mills nowadays take an important, and in constant growth, place. This growth has also contributed to the increase in the accidents, which obliges the companies of the sector to develop Health Occupation programs with a wider view and more focused towards the total control of the loses. Within this programs of total control of loses it is important to take into consideration the two variables that can have a role in the happening of work related accidents or professional illnesses: On one hand, human resource (substandard actions); and on the other hand, the environment (sub-standard conditions). To control these factors the models apply methodologies that allow a more specific work and a minimization or control of the risk. The methodologies applied for this purpose are: Risk Analysis per job, Investigation of Accidents and Incidents, Planning of Security Standards and Planned Inspections.
