Abstract
The microwave assisted processes (MAP) are a family of technologies of high efficiency. The developed applications have until now prove a reduction in the energy requirements of up to 90% in comparison to conventional processes. It is anticipated that the MAP extraction will be more efficient than other processes because of its heating mechanism located inside the vegetal tissues in comparison to a general heating of all the system as in other processes. In this context, the use of MAP for the edible oils extraction at industrial level is interesting. Data on energy efficiency at lab level by the processing of various palm tissues and other oleaginous. Furthermore, a discussion on the type of equipment for industrial use, will be held. MAP es una marca de negocio de "Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Canada as represented by the Minister of the Environment".
