Abstract
An experiment was carried out in San Alejo (Atlántida) Honduras where commercial hybrid materials of four different origins were planted Deli x AVROS, Deli x Ekona, Deli x La Me and Deli x Calabar in different types of density arrangements, which fluctuate between 90 and 300 palms per hectare. Individual production was measured throughout these 14 years and annual growth measurements were taken every year. The Deli x AVROS and Deli x Ekona hybrids showed a better behavior in low densities, while Calabar x La Me showed higher productions at higher densities Changes in density significantly affected the leaf length, cross section of the petiole and leave emission rate; the height of the stem and the leaf area were affected to a lesser degree.
