| dc.description | Site-specific agriculture can be defined as the art of carrying out the agronomic practices required by a plant species in accordance with the spatial and temporal conditions of the site where it is grown in order to obtain its maximum yield potential. Cenicaña, the Colombian Sugar Cane Research Center has led the implementation of technologies associated with precision agriculture in the sugar cane crop. It has carried out georeferenced processes and zoning of planted areas, enabling a site-specific analysis of the productive and economic efficiency of the crop during a specific period of time. | dc.description | La agricultura específica por sitio puede definirse como: El arte de realizar las prácticas agronómicas requeridas para una especie vegetal, de acuerdo con las condiciones espaciales y temporales del sitio donde se cultiva, para obtener de ella su máximo rendimiento potencial. En el cultivo de la caña de azúcar, el Centro de investigaciones del gremio, Cenicaña, ha abanderado la implantación de tecnologías relacionadas con la agricultura de precisión. Ha realizado procesos de georreferenciación y zonificación de áreas sembradas, que permiten hacer un análisis por sitio específico y durante un tiempo determinado de la eficiencia productiva y económica del cultivo.
