| dc.description | This article explains the research methodology used to calculate the phytosanitary break for the management of Bud Rot (BR) and the control of R. palmarum in the Occidental Zone plantations. The research combines field validation work and data processing in the office and is the basis for orientating the policy aimed at eradicating palms affected by the disease. The results provide the Colombian Agricultural Institute with guidelines that may be of use in the formulation of public policies in relation to both the sanitary problems in the oil palms as well as the social problems in this region of the country. | en-US |
| dc.description | El artículo presenta la metodología utilizada por la investigación para definir y calcular la franja fitosanitaria para el manejo de la Pudrición del Cogollo (PC) y el control de R. palmarum en las plantaciones de la Zona Occidental palmera. La investigación combina trabajo de validación en el campo y procesamiento de datos en la oficina, y sirve como base para orientar la política que tiene por objeto erradicar las palmas afectadas por la enfermedad. Los resultados proveen al Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario de lineamientos que bien pueden ser de utilidad en la formulación de políticas públicas en lo referente tanto al problema sanitario de las palmas de aceite, como a la problemática social en esta región del país. | es-ES |
