| dc.description | No region of the world has escaped the financial crisis of recent years and the uncertainty about the future is on the agenda. But what is most worrying here is that it has diverted attention from the food crisis and hence from the resources allocated to the agricultural sector in many countries. Contraction, financial and market pressure, volatility and market dislocation between financial markets and products is where the attention is focused today. When the current economic crisis is over, the world will realize that there is still a food crisis, and it is better to ask ourselves: How can we prepare to face it?
