| dc.description | Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas establecen los principios que guiarán las actividades agrícolas hacia el futuro. En la actuali- dad, el aceite de palma sostenible está regulado principalmente en los mercados de biodiésel. En particular, la Directiva de Energía Renovable (DER) de la Unión Europea exige un certificado de sustentabilidad de las materias primas que se utilizan para la producción de biocombustibles. La nueva directiva DER II, incluso va más allá y propone limitar el uso de ciertos cultivos con el fin de mitigar el riesgo de cambio indirecto del uso de la tierra (ILUC, por su sigla en inglés). En el futuro, los llamados biocombustibles de bajo riesgo ILUC se con- vertirán en un componente importante del mercado de los biocombustibles. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The Sustainable Development Goals of the UN set the guiding principles for future agricultural activities. Currently, sustainable palm oil is predominant- ly regulated in the markets for biodiesel. Especially the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) of the European Union requires sustainability certification for feedstocks in biofuel production. The new RED II goes even further and proposes to limit the use of designated crops in order to reduce the risk of Indirect Land Use Change (ILUC). In the future, so called low ILUC risk biofuels will become an important component of the biofuel market.
