Abstract
In the afternoon of March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, informed the world that the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak was growing exponentially outside of China. At the time, there were 118 thousand confirmed cases in 114 countries, with 4,291 people dying to the virus. The outbreak was declared a pandemic. As of June 11, there were 7,343,562 confirmed cases and over 416 thousand deaths worldwide. Crises lead humanity to focus on what is vital and return to its roots and essence. By closing their doors due to the rapid transmission of the virus, all governments in unison looked inward, and life and health were once again at the center of existence, hand in hand with food security. The agricultural sector regained its importance and its actual strategic value.
