Abstract
Every two years, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (formerly called Colciencias) launches the announcement for the measurement of researchers and groups of Research, Technological Development or Innovation. Historically, Cenipalma used to present its groups and researchers, however, only some of them were recognized. In order to achieve the standards of quality, productivity and excellence of Cenipalma's groups and researchers, the Research Division led a recognition process through actions to strengthen the formation, monitoring, evaluation and growth of the groups and their members. With the support of Avanciencia, a plan was designed to socialize the researcher and group measurement model 2021, identify and register the science, technology and innovation products, and update the researchers' (CvLAC) and groups' (GrupLAC) curriculum. The final results of the 2021 measurement showed that 6 groups and 19 researchers of Cenipalma were recognized. The categorization of the groups was: Physiology and Biochemistry of perennial species - A1, Oil palm disease research - A, Oil palm research - B, Integrated pest management, Processes and uses of palm oil and by-products and Scaling up technologies in oil palm – C. The renowned researchers were an Emeritus, a Senior, two Associates and 17 Juniors. These results ratify the relevance, visibility, quality and excellence of Cenipalma's Research and Extension, and its commitment to generate new knowledge and materialize it in products that allow the oil palm sector to be more sustainable and competitive El Ministerio de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovación (anteriormente Colciencias) lanza bienalmente la convocatoria para la medición de grupos de Investigación, Desarrollo Tecnológico o Innovación e investigadores.
