Abstract
The agroindustry of the palm of oil is committed to sustainability, which is why from Cenipalma and Fedepalma the best agronomic practices have been promoted, allowing to increase the productivity of the crops in a harmonious way with the environment and positively influencing the social component in the different oil palmregions. By 2021, the goal is to consolidate the Sustainable Palm Oil program and to increase production by reaching 5 Ton of oil per hectare by 2023, 75 % of this, certified oil. For the fulfillment of this goal, the “Step by Step” methodology has been proposed together with oil palm companies to close gaps in a triple line of action of the sustainability pillars (economic, environmental and social). La agroindustria de la palma de aceite está comprometida con la sostenibilidad, por lo cual desde Cenipalma y Fedepalma se han venido fomentando las mejores prácticas agronómicas que permitan aumentar la productividad de los cultivos de manera armónica con el ambiente e incidiendo positivamente en el componente social en las diferentes regiones palmeras. Para 2021 se tiene como meta la consolidación del Programa de Aceite de Palma Sostenible (APS.co) e incrementar la producción, llegando a 5 t aceite/ha al 2023, con el 75 % certificado. Para el cumplimiento de dicha meta se ha propuesto la metodología Paso a Paso de la mano de los Núcleos Palmeros para el cierre de brechas en la triple línea de acción de los pilares de sostenibilidad (económico, ambiental y social).
