At latest decades, climate change and global warming caused the increasing of minimum air temperature in higher altitude of north sumatra. The area that formerly not feasible to oil palm growth change to more suitable. The improvement of main limiting factors, such as, the elevation of minimum air temperature average to 180C since years of 1990 makes possible the oil palm plantation at higher land to 850 above sea level (asl), but it is still case of monthly minimum air temparature below 18 celcius of degree occurs in December-January. Consequently, it is influences to oil palm vegetative and yield performance because stress factor of low air temperature. The research revealed oil palm vegetative and yield performance at various level of altitude in the range of 501-750 m and 751-1000 m asl compared with 0-250 m and 251-500 m asl.
