Biosynthesis of proteins and variability in oilseeds.
Abstract
Factors affecting the synthesis of proteins and varietal differences in the 3 main oilseeds cultivated in France (rapeseed, sunflower and soyabeans) are reviewed. The potential for improving seed quality and increasing protein content without affecting oil content by genetics or methods of cultivation is discussed.
